So get out."A girl named "Rin" told the protagonist. She declared that she was the lone mistress of this rainy world. For how many years, decades, even centuries... Has she lived all alone in this world? Will the day come when the rain stops falling? Narcissu Bonus Episode Included in the game is a copy of Narcissu 1st, as well as a brand new VERY short bonus episode. It's very short, but hopefully is interesting for narcissu fans.Changing language regionThe game is playable in either English or Japanese, but due to technical constraints, there is no way to change the language within the game. However, it's possible to change the region for the game, as documented here:https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=8487-WSCN-4121NOTETo play the game in Japanese, your Windows installation needs to be set to handle non-unicode text as Japanese:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-system-locale#1TC=windows-7If you experience issues, please email support(at)sekaiproject.com a09c17d780 Title: Ame no Marginal -Rain Marginal-Genre: IndieDeveloper:stage-nanaPublisher:Sekai ProjectRelease Date: 30 Dec, 2014 Ame No Marginal -Rain Marginal- Crack Code Activation Ame no Marginal is a good game. It’s a solid experience with an interesting story, moving you in a way that only a stage-mana story can with it’s somber yet calm atmosphere, but it’s a bit too short and underdeveloped to call it amazing. I had a great time with this and would recommend it to everyone, but you should keep in mind that it’s not omgamazingness that Narcissu was.Pros+Solid Story+Amazing Experience+Narcissu IncludedCons-Lack Of Depth-Too Short For The Price. This story touches on some rather incomprehensible subjects like eternity and immortality. Reading the story is a melancholic and philosphical experience that is shown from two different character persectives, and as close as one should get to understanding the heroine and her situation without going insane. Not for everybody. It will ideally get you thinking a lot about the theme concepts, which can make reading tedious. The prologue and base story zigzag switch style storytelling can be immersion breaking but it makes it a little easier and nicer to read as the tones change with it. This is fixed if you read it a second time and can focus on the prologue or base story. If you liked Narcissu, you will understand the writing better plus it comes with a deleted scene type bonus from Narcissu.. A fairly short (~4-6 hours) and nice VN that revolves around the story of a young girl named Rin. The story actually has 2 paths that you must read through in parallel. The first path is from Rin's perspective and covers her life up to the present, but the second path takes place in the present and follows a generic protagonist's view through to the end.The story is simple, but interesting. A girl is trapped alone in a world of endless rain. How did she get there? Why can't she leave? Who is she? These questions are brought up at the very start and by the end they will all have been answered very nicely tying up the whole game into a nice little package. There is only a small cast of characters that show up throughout the story, and of the characters that do show up only Rin's character has any real development or depth to it. The present time protagonist, while has some depth explored at the start, only exists to further explore Rin without any sort of real development or depth of his own. The lack of depth in others isn't a bad thing necessarily, but the story leaves a lot of questions regarding characters unanswered, and because of the lack of any detail it is difficult to really care about any character other than Rin.The one aspect this VN nails though is atmosphere: an isolated world, a population of 1, an endless rainfall, and eternal life. This VN exudes melancholy from the great art, the well done voice acting, to the soundtrack that is spot on with every scene. If there is one thing this VN got perfectly it is the atmosphere. The translation has a few minor grammatical errors here and there, but overall it was definitely a quality job.Final score: 7.75/10. I have no regrets...... A great visual novel with a deep and meaningful story! Ame no Marginal is yet another great visual novel from the creator of Narcissu. The art is in a beautiful anime style with some realistic detailing much like Narcissu. The music adds atmosphere and emotion to the entire visual novel through it beautiful sound and emotional range.I recommend Ame no Marginal to both guys and girls of all ages.Similar games that I also recommend:Season of 12 ColorsTo the MoonNarcissu 1st and 2ndPlanetarian. Everything a visual novel should be; the writing is beautiful, the translation is on point, the art is lovely and the music is fitting. The story is strange, sad and a little eerie, with some speculative fiction elements. It's pretty short, around 2 - 4 hours depending on reading speed, but for this type of story the length is perfect.I really liked the parallel chapter structure. The game is a kinetic visual novel, so no choices, but the structure allows the reader to pick which side of the story they hear first. Depending on which you choose, you'll get a slightly different experience. Not sure about the price, I've seen much longer visual novels for half the price. This is a high-quality visual novel though. If you're a fan of this creator's work, it's worth it.. Ame no Marginal is simple and complicated at the same time, if that’s even possible. We are presented with a plot and characters that are both a mystery, and they will remain like that for most (more like entirely) of time. Meaning that the story and characters aren’t so developed like in Narcissu, so if you don’t like to have unanswered questions in stories, I recommend you to skip this title.I felt like I was on the place of the MC; things happened very fast, and there was just little explanations for them. Everything is surrounded by mystery, rain, sadness. I thought I was going to get bored/annoyed by that, but I didn’t. And just like how it started, it ended: brusquely. It was a single situation that didn’t branched out of it. It’s a good kinetic VN, not a masterpiece, but it’s interesting. Now, I must say that Ame no Marginal is very overpriced for such a short story. I recommend getting it only on sale or better, in a bundle.8/10. The narrative was good and kinda made up for the lack of explanation. At least in my opinion, it was an interesting experience.. This non-interactive story is about a suicide-prone white-collar (an unnamed decoy protagonist) who gets sent into a mostly empty parallel world, where he meets this (also unnamed) girl who's been living alone there for over a millennium. Apparently because people can't die in it. The rest i can't spoil, but the story isn't as lighthearted as the art style makes it seem to be. It's an amazing tear-jerker if you don't mind fantastical elements. But it's still pretty good if you do.You might first want to try "Narcissu 1st & 2nd", which's free on steam, to get an idea on how stage-nana works. And at least Narcissus tries to stay grounded to reality.Pros:+ Short, yet amazing story.+ Soundtrack fits perfectly with the mood.+ No choices, so just sit back and enjoy a good tearjerker.+ Female protagonist didn't suicide this time!+ Voices sound great. might be annoying for some players, though.+ Contains an extra chapter for "Narcissu 1st", another work by the same developer.+ "Rin" is legal.Neutral:* Story gets juggled between two routes (present/question and past/answer) before converging, making it hard to follow the events in one of them. But it's still a good way to expose the world to the reader.* Handwave galore: much is left unexplained. better being minimalistic than ruining its world with silly tropes.Cons:- Silly title. it's hard to say it with a straight face.- The art could use a bit more work.- There are only a handful of images, which often get reused.- Characters are rather simple, especially the white-collar guy. you could replace him with a block of wood and the story would still go on regardless.- Requires fair amount of suspension of disbelief. - Story can get a bit too DBZ-y. Heck, most of the setting is inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, FFS.. I throughly enjoyed the entirety of this visual novel. The tone of it is gloomy, but the main setting has an interesting brightness to it. The story will keep your attention, the music is wonderful and does well to set the tone of each scene. It's not the longest story, I finished it in about 5 hours, but I thought it was well worth the read and purchase.
